A Million Memories June Kit!

OK, so finally Michelle was able to put up the June kit pics for AMM and it is a beauty! Believe me this kit is so beautiful and picture does not do it justice when you have it in front of you. I just got my box today and I am dying to scrap. This is a good thing specially when my mojo seem to have decided to just go and leave me to rot! I have not felt like scrapping in a while and my blog is a testament to that. I have not been productive at all. I AM AN OXYGEN THIEF....lately! But I think today it finally came back to give me a smack in the face for a creativity wake up call. I am glad, its about time. Anyway I thought I would share the kit....my precious!

Here are the 2 limited edition kits she has put together. I am still trying to convince my cheap, responsible and no wasting money shoulder angel to be bad and let me buy some scrap stuff. But, I don't know, it's hard to have an argument by yourself and most of the time feel guilty enough to talk myself out of buying anything for me. WAAAh! Yeah, I am crazy like and I don't care!

I have my own Firskars Threading Water Punch!!!!!

Holy Cow!!! Ok so I went to my dentist today and after I was done with that I decided to go to Michaels on a whim which is right around the corner . I have not gone to my Michaels in a while becuz they never really have anything and can never find anything I want. So today I said...."what the hell, let's just see if they got anything new!" I walked pass Martha's stuff and nothing caught my attention. Look at the new Scrapworks PP pad and K&Co. Amy Butler stuff (grabbed one box of embellishment)Kept walking down every isle they have of scrapbooking stuff. Last isle and what is that I see? Can it be? No way!!!!! OMG!!! Hanging there, by its lonesome the most hunted punch in the scrapbooking industry......Fiskars threading water punch!!! YYYYAAAAAYYYYYY!!! I am jumping for joy and before I got too excited I looked around to see if anyone else is in the isle with me. I grabbed that sucker like my life depended on it. I held it close to my chest protecting it like my first born child. OK, I know how sad! I dont care! It's mine, I tell ya. It's MINE!!!!!! YIIIIPPPEEEE!

So to top it off, I stopped a manager and ask if there was any coupond and sure enough there was. She said to look for it the front so I hurried to see but it was empty. Shucks!! I ask the cashier and she say's "Sorry we ran out!" Dagnabit! So I see the manager again and I asked "well since you guys ran out of the flyer's can I still get the discount that's in it?" not really thinking she would say YES....but she said "hold on, I think I have one in the office." She walks to the office and hands it to me with a smile. This is a freaking MIRACLE!!! Is this really Michaels where I never get anyone to talk to me or answer my questions. Michaels that never has anything I want. OMG, it truly made my day, hell it made my week even month. I not only got my punch, I got it for 40% off so it came out to being just $9.00. HOLY CRAP!!!! I am the happiest girl in Grovetown. lol I also picked up the Amy Butler box of embelly which was 25% off so that was $3.00, 2 $1.00 stamps that are sooo stinking cute and I think a $1.00 wood flower buttons. So all in all it totalled $15.00 for all my stuff plus tax of course. But I feel like a real bargain hunter. I am very proud! lol I had to make a post about this, nothing exciting happens in Grovetown. So this totally counts as being one exciting day. OK, although my back is hurting I really want to play with my new toy. SEE YA!

Book About Me Class by Karen Grunberg

I have been wanting to do a book like this for a long time and this is the perfect class for me. I am really taking advantage of this class to get this BOM done. I want it to be personal and real. About the real me, no holds bar....ME! I could'nt even start it cuz I had so much note's and so many different ideas of how I was going to conquer it. And finally I just had to let go. But first I took the time to write in a notebook everything I want to cover. I decided to cover the past, present and future of my life, as well as the GOOD the BAD and the UGLY! So it will not follow her class accurately but I will do what she covers in the class that makes sense and what goes with my BOM, but Karen has told me its ok. Since it is my book and it is about me it should be the way I want it. She just freakin ROCKS! I love the freedom that she gave to everyone that is taking the class. You can copy it or do your own thing.
So after about half my notebook full of notes I started my BOM. It was such a relief creating it. Although I have so much to do still, this is so far what I have and I wanted to share. I thought long and hard about sharing and felt I had to be real to myself and that it is ok. I have nothing to be afraid of and I should have no shame in wanting to acknowledge my past. This is past and not what is going in my life now. So I felt it is ok to share! I am a stronger person, happy and fullfilled with my life now. And I cant be me now if I didnt go through what I went through. I have yet to do, some of the harder topics I want to write about. It is hard to accomplish any pages when my back is not cooperating with me.So here are some of my pages that I finished. Still have lots to do but here goes.

Word of the Day!

My cousin Rose, sends me these funny "word of the day" emails and they crack me up. I dont know if its becuz I am from Long Beach, but I just know I still from time to time use this one. This really brought back some highschool memories and our little slang words we use to say!!! Thank Rose I really needed that! LUV you!

NSD Finished Projects.

Altered Book for Mother's Day designed to be left open as a display. I chose purple flowers and spray a little bit of Tattered Angels purple Glimmer Mist on the PP background just to pick up the color purple. I just how it turned out it already displayed in my scrap room. I will have to make another one that shows me and my son.


National Scrapbooking Day Weekend Crop @ A million memories was a success. I am so happy that alot of girls came, created so much projects and participated in all the games. I cant believe I worried so much. It was a lot of work and a lot more time than what I anticipated but well worth it. It was nice to hear people say they had a great time and that it was so much fun, crazy, fast phase and challenges gallore. I am just happy! It turned out better than I thought, but I guess that is just my own insecurities and fears.
But I do want to say that without all the help from the DT's this would never have been the success that it is. A BIG SHOUT OUT!!! To A Million Memories Design Team for all the hard work, time and help they gave me. Couldn't do it without you guys!!!!
Below are all the things I made using A Million Memories May Kit (Shabby,Vintage & Beautiful). I cant believe how much you can make using one kit. And I still have plenty to create an altered item or a mini. I luv the colors on this kit and it was perfect for my picture that I have not been able to scrap in so long. I used it for my daughter and son so it is very versatile. Look at all the stuff I created. I LOVE IT!!!! This has been such a productive weekend. I have never worked so hard in my life.....scrapbooking!!! lol.

My first try at sewing on paper. This card looks SAD!!! But I still posted it cuz I am proud that I tried doing something that I am afraid of doing and knowing how bad I sucked at it I still did it. And I know I will only get better the more I do it. So this is my attempt at sewing on a card. YUCK! What an ugly duckling but its OK. I'll be better next time.
I created a simple LO using SEI new Chick a Dee PP. I wanted it to be about Isabella's picture and her beautiful brown eyes. I luv this picture of her not yet a year old. She is now going to be 4 next month. Where does time go? My little baby girl is no baby no more!!!!

AMM's May KIT

Well here it is! Here is what I am talking about. And you know it is much prettier in person I dont think the picture does it justice. I luv all the colors and I have a girl and a boy and I used it with both their pictures so it's not hard to do for both. I really do luv how vintage and girly it could be if you so choose. I need to do my altered thing cuz I want to do something for Mother's day thing that is in my head and I cant wait to play tonight and make it. I hope it comes out like the way I picture it in my head. I need to do something with those wings they are so cute. Just thought I'd share what I have been playing with. So fun!

NSD Weekend officially starts today!!!

So where are you all going for NSD or what will you be doing? I hope that you got to see my post about NSD weekend crop at amillionmemories.com! It's going to be lots of fun but I am so so nervous. This is the first time I am hosting a weekend crop so I am excited but terrified at the same time. All I know is that Michelle has some awesome prize packages that she has put together for people to WIN. I wish I can qualify to win but I cant. But that's how cool the prizes are! I hope that if you happen to pass my blog and you see this and you are not doing anything this weekend pass by and see what I am up to and play along with me. Hah...I gotta keep this short I cant believe how fast the days are going and I have not posted in a while! Will have to share the pic of the new AMM KIT cuz it is beautiful. This is my first kit ever to play with or scrap with and I cant believe how easy it is. I mean, I guess its easy cuz all you need is there besides the glue and pictures. I literally made 3 LO's and 3 cards in no time. It was fun and it was easy. I also didn't stress a lot about my stuff! That is new for me....I guess that is why people are so in love with KIT's becuz of the convenience and easy factor to it. Anyway I am blabbing I will have to post a picture so you can see what I am talking about!
