I created this LO's for a Design Team Call. But they didn't make it, so I am getting to share them with ya. I know it's been a while since I posted stuff and you might look at this and say, eeeh its old already. I know, I know CHA just happened and this is so last season. But who cares darling!

I certainly don't. I am planning on using most of my stuff before getting the new stuff. And if we are being really honest here....right now I don't even know what the new stuff looks like. I have been in my own little LA LA WORLD to know what is going on in the scrap booking industry. As of right now I have no desire to buy anything. So in continuation of my little mantra I have been pushing on you guys all this year, I will be using my OLD STUFF first. Yep! I am making this a priority in my scrapping. No new stuff until old stuff is used. (We'll see)

It felt so good being asked to Guest Design Post for Creative Charms. Specially having been away for so long, being so busy with so many other things and not getting to do anything creative. So I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Midori for letting me in on this. I really am grateful and thankful for you.

Here are some of my work and I wanted to share with you using some vintage pearls and flower blings. They are just perfect little touch to add to your LO's to make them feel complete.

Hello Strangers!

Wow! Did I fell of the FACE OF THE EARTH or what?

Ok, so to give you a quick recap as to why I just disappeared here's why.

My hubby is in the US Army and we were once again relocated. We are now in San Antonio Texas.

Yes! So you see, I had a good reason as to why I was gone. I was busy packing my house, getting last minute end of the year activities for the kids, packing and moving the entire household good, driving with 3 cars to Texas, finding a house, entertaining the kids since they are on summer break, finally finding a house, unpacking, getting the kids ready for school and now busy with trying to settle in the house feeling like home and the normal day to day crap!

THERE!

Now that we got that covered, can I just say that blogging was not one of my MUST DO. I'm sorry about that but to be real it was not. I had to get a break from it all. But now that 99.9 % of my house is unpacked and I am finally getting the hang of things in the new place and new activities I am ready to be back. And nothing can beat being asked to Guess Design Post to start getting rid of my RUT. I needed the kick in the pants.

So folks, I'm back. I am hoping to good at it. But there are no promises. Nothing I hate more than saying something I will do and then turning around and not doing it. Anyway, just wanted to let you know all know I am Guest Designing for Creative Charms tomorrow. (Thanks Midori for letting me in on this.) So make sure and check it out at Creative Charms.

Sneaks for ya!

I have some sneaks for ya! I decided to try out for another term as a DT member for Your Scrapbook Stash. I thought about not doing it, since doing an entire family military move is hard, not having a place to live when we get there and then settling down when we finally did find a place was hard enough. But I love the company too much and they are really good to their Design Team so it is well worth it!

Here's a couple of sneaks of the 2 LO's I turned in for my submission. I thought I took detailed pics of the other submission but I didnt so I couldnt post them. I will though once the call is done.

Last minute work!

Here's a LO for June and some 3x3 cards for May assignments that I created. I was really taking out some stress by scrappin. Because of that I was able to create more than what I needed for my assignments which is always great!

Anyhoo, here they are.

Nurture

Used up some of my scraps from Aprils DT kit featuring Little Yellow Bicycle TWIG line for this LO. I am actually surprise that I was able to complete a LO with what I had left from the line. NICE!

Used some Heidi Swapp felt butterflies for a pop of color! Love it.

Here are some 3x3 cards using Teresa Collins POSH line that I was able to crank out at the last minute for my May DT assignments. Created them using scraps as well. Man I am doing sooo good using up scraps. Hey, you would be amazed how much you can get done when you put your mind to it.

I am going to give these to my kids teachers for their going away presents along with other cards I made for them. It's like an assortment of cards ya know! I am happy with they turned out. I think they are so cute. You can use them as cards or as tags. They are very handy!

Ok, that's it for now.

By now I should be on the road driving and on our way to Texas. Wish me luck and pray we get there safely and in good time. I hope I don't melt and get use to the HEAT fast. Living in Washington for 2 years, my body has gotten used to the cold. If it passes 60 degrees, we go nuts like its the best thing since slice bread. So I am hoping that the Texas Heat don't kill me. Yikes!

Echo Park SPLASH!

Hey, hey! Here are some more YSS projects for you guys.

I was also given SPLASH line from Echo Park this month and they are so fun. The colors are so bright and fresh. Perfect for summer LO's and cards.

But first, I have to tell you guys something. I started creating my June projects way early using old products from previous months, cuz I wasnt sure my box would get here in time to make my June assignments. And because of that when my box got here I had to hurry up and create more projects with them. I was bit stressed out, cuz at the same time I was getting ready for the move (as you all know by now).

Anyway, these couple of pages are whipped up in a matter of a day.

So I am sorry for the poor picture not only cuz I was rushing to get them done but the fact that it's still gloomy here in Wa. and hard to get good pictures. So excuse me in advance.

Cards, cards, cards and more cards

Here are some more Basic Grey SWEET THREADS line for ya. I couldn't really help myself and had to make a bunch of cards. I used up mostly pieces of pattern paper, journaling spots, ribbons and stickers that coordinate with the line to make the cards. I used Stampin Up embossing folder and butterfly die cut. I mixed up BG and Echo Park (yellow PP).

Left this one sentiment free! I make most of my cards that way, that way I can use it with whatever I need at a moments notice.

Live*Laugh*Love

This is a very simple card using 3 pieces of arrow stickers and SRM (live, laugh, love) to create

the sentiment for the card. I know I am not the best card maker out there and my cards are simple, but I am really into it right now. I am telling you, I am slowly filling my card box again. Yay, for me! Which is always great cuz I have been using my cards up. Needing some refilling, that's for sure. Thanks for letting me share and hope you guys have a great day!

Whew! I am hit with a TRIPLE WHAMMY this month.

First:This is officially my last month term as a DT member for Your Scrapbook Stash.

So I am really sad. Booo!

Two: I am a little bit STRESSED OUT due to another military move.

Three: I don't have much time to do my projects due to the craziness happening around me.

I am cleaning, packing, sorting, organizing and purging...along with the everyday chores I have to do. It is a major pain the (A$$)you know what! Just when I think I am getting caught up I have a mountain size pile of laundry to be done, sink is full of dirty dishes and dinner is yet to get started. Goodness, this is a hot mess. Anyways....

On to some scrapping news. I was so lucky though, cuz this month I was able to play with some gorgeousness! Basic Grey SWEET THREADS line is soooo pretty! Man Erica sure knows how to make a girl feel better. ;p

I created a Sketch for ya and here it is!

Man I am so impressed with myself! I cant believe I was able to finish all my June assignment ahead of schedule and able to turn them in and do my blog post. YES!

I think, because I am so stressed out with a bunch of stuff that I have to do around the house that, actually sitting down and scrappin released some of the stress. What ever it is I am grateful I am done and finish. Whew!

What am I talking about??

Well I am a very lucky girl, cuz I got to work with some fabulous lines this month of May. Your Scrapbook Stash DT are so spoiled, I cannot ask for a better gig than this.

Thanks Erica! You are freakin awesome.

Ok, now that I got the obvious butt kissing done, let me tell you what I got to work with. Last month I was sent Posh Collection by Teresa Collins. I was unable to finish any work to qualify for my DT assignment in time so I knew I had to work it in this month. I manage to use it for our sponsored site this month (Once Upon a Sketch). This Sketch is so much fun, I had a great time working with it.

Here is a sneak peak since it goes live on May 15th so I cant quite show it to ya yet. Make sure you check them out, to see all their DT's and YSS DT take on the sketch.

Remember

Here is a card below that I can show you since it's not part of the sketch. It is a huge card and bulky too. There is a TON of dimension to this. I still don't know if I want to give this away it is just way to pretty. This was so much fun to make and easy too. Can you see how I embossed the background card with cuddle bug font embossing folder? I love the look of this. So easy but look so hard. HA!

For my box this month I received Jillibean Soup Spotted Owl and Bella Blvd Family Dynamix.

Here is a LO using everything from Bella Blvd. I cut up the flowers from the pattern paper to create my own embellishments. I used some Creative Charms bling to add a lil somethin, somethin.

I mixed Jillibean Soup and Bella for this one. I cant believe how perfect they are together. I hand cut the water splashes and pop dotted them. So they stick out a bit more. They add just the right dimension to this page.

Once Upon A Sketch

Farewell Creative Charms BLOG HOP

I cant hardly believe it's time to move on from my position as one of the Design Team for Creative Charms. My 6 month term has been wonderful and feels like it was just yesterday. Wow! Your Scrapbook Stash Fancy Pants To the Moon

I want to be honest about this month's DT Kit. I am not a Fancy Pants kinda gal, so I admit I was really nervous getting this line. BUT, and that is a big but...I really had a great time working with it. This month we were challenge to only work with pattern paper and to try to not put too much embellishments. They wanted us to use just paper as much as possible.

It was really a challenge to only work with paper and the line, but gave me a chance to work with old pictures of my little boy. Which I am always preaching to begin with, you know how I always tell you guys to scrap your old pictures as much as you can. So here's what I came up with.

I really had a great time working with FP To the Moon. Although I was scared and nervous it turned out to be great. Besides the fact that I was challenged to only using pattern paper, I was also challenged using a line I am not use to. But that is a part of being in a DT. You are constantly trying new things. Although my LO's are a bit busy this time around and then my cards are super simple I think it is something you guys can relate to and would hopefully get encourage to try yourself.

Thank you for passing by and hope you guys get to play with your old pictures and try a new line you might be afraid to use. I have tons more products left over so I am planning on creating more projects. I was also sent some Teresa Collins Posh so I might get some of that stuff done too. Your Scrapbook Stash LYB Twig Line

Wow! Was I surprise when I got this line. Didn't think very much about this line when it came out but when I got it in my box of goodies (DT Kit) from Your Scrapbook Stash I was happily surprise by how much I loved it.

I actually finished the 2 LO the first day I got my box. Yeah! Those scrappy kinda days are awesome. I knocked them out!

Unique

I always print tons of 4x6 pictures and I love using them this way in my LO's. I have so many pics to scrap that I really do take advantage of the times when I can cram as many of them in one LO. Hey, you get a pretty page and you get to scrap 2, 3, 4 or more pics. And I always encourage you guys to do that more too. You don't want those photos filling up in boxes somewhere! Get them out and scrap em people!

Photo below is a close up of the journaling spots that I clustered to create an interesting design. Plus I got to play with my new stamps from Stampin Up Definition stamp set. THEY ARE MY FAVE! remember*laugh*smile*love

I love love love the KI scribble words that came with my kit. I literally love them so much that, that is the only journaling I put in my page. Well actually my tittle and journaling combined. I love it the way it is. It says everything about this pic of my son that I want to say, who is growing up waaaaay too fast in my opinion.

Sorry I got sappy for a minute and had to erase it. I wouldn't want to get in trouble now. Anyway close up pics below of how I placed them and cut them in different lenght to create a better look for them.

Bird Card

I wanted to leave this card without a tittle cuz I want to be able to customize it when I need it. I make my cards that way, so that I could use it for Hello, Birthday or anything that I need it for instead of getting stuck to one thing. I have to have cards ready at a moments notice. It can easily be stamped or added some stickers to make what you need it for.

The Way It Is!

I love the way this card turned out. I created my flowers from one of the matching pattern paper. It is a bit bulky so I might have to think of a way to create a matching envelope for this. Simple but cute.

And last but not the least, I created a fabric flower clip for my baby girl. I know, I know! I am a bit obsessed with my fabric flowers lately but I don't care. I love them and most of all my daughter loves them too. I can never go wrong when creating pretty things for her.

I got a package of feathers from the LYB twig line and I didn't want to just stick them to the page. So I thought about it for a while and decided they would be so pretty in a hair clip. So grabbed my grey silk fabric and went to town. This is what I got.

LOVE how it turned out!

Here is a closer look at the feathers that are sticking up on top. Simple but elegant!

Your Scrapbook Stash assignments

My understanding is with our DT assignments is that we couldn't post in our blog until they are posted in YSS gallery. But since I have been having a hard time posting them (glitch) and it's already March 1, I'm gonna go ahead and post them here too. Here was the last 3 projects I made for Feb YSS assignments.

Always Heartfelt

Again using the Glitz Love Nest collection for this one. I used tons of my doily stash and love how it turned out. A few punched butterfly from Martha Stewart punch, bling from Zva and flower ribbon from Websters to complete the look. Oh I also did stamping, you see the little spots those are all Stampin Up itty bitty background stamps. Instead of messing with spattering I just stamped. It was easier and faster.

Forgot the title *always heartfelt* is also Stampin Up stamps.

since I had plenty of Websters flower ribbon I decided to alter my daughters plain tank top that she loves wearing. She got to wear it for Valentines Day. I just simply hot glued it to the shirt. That's it...easy peasy!

And lastly I made a card using some Glitz left overs and Maya Road flowers. Simple but to the point. I need to practice with my card making skills cuz I am not very good at it. But I am trying people, I really am.

And that's all I got for you guys. I cant wait to get all my new DT goodies so I can start playing again. I tend to slack off when I don't have DT assignments. And then when I do get it I get so much ideas I am bursting at the seams and I have like a million projects going on at once. I have to work like that and I have to stop what I am making and start a new project before I lose the idea. I know I am crazy and a bit nutty but that's me!

More fabric flowers...

So it's been a busy month for me, I must admit. And I haven't shared what I made using those fabric flowers I created and posted on Valentines Day. So here it is. Finally getting to share.

I made a simple and inexpensive headband for my princess. It is just a cheap ole headband from any dollar store. And I just hot glued those fabric flowers to it and that's it. A simple project your daughter or any girly girl you know would love. The hard work is getting all flowers done first but after that you add them to anything. These flower headbands are so popular right now I decided to join in on the fun. Ha!

Happy Valentines Day!

Hope you guys are having a wonderful and romantic Valentines Day. My hubby and I and our kids of course celebrated Vday yesterday. Hubs has been so busy with work, so he figured Sunday would be best to take the time for it, since he probably will be home late today.

He took the kids and I to a movie (Gulliver's Travels..kids one of course) and then we went to BJ's for dinner. It was a simple day but that's how we like it. We are not fancy people. Just getting to spend some much needed time together is enough for us. It's usually hard for hubs during the month of Feb. due to Vday and then 3 days later is my birthday. He struggles to find presents for me, so when I could help him out picking it out....is best. For the both of us!

Since the mall is right next to BJ, we decided to go walking after dinner. I think I went straight to Coach. Not really intending to buy anything. But hubs knew I broke my glasses (cheapo ones) he said I should get glasses. To make a long story short he got me a Coach sunglasses and a necklace. He wanted to buy me a purse but the one I wanted was $600 and that is just RIDUNKULUSE.

I wouldn't do that. He also wanted to buy me a charm bracelet but I said NO to that too. I stuck with my glasses and necklace. That's it! No need to spend more money. I have plenty of purses and bracelets. Besides my birthday is in a couple of days and I want scrappy stuff. ;p

On some scrappy note! I made these for my Creative Charms DT Assignment for Feb. I kinda went a lil nuts making them but I know I will find some uses out of them.

For today's post I wanted to show a LO I did using OA Campfire line. I know it is supposed to catered to camping or out doors type, but I made my LO about my son's first day of school as a 5th grader. As you can see, this is how versatile the line is. It does not have to be woodsy pictures. I love that I created this LO on a line that you lease expect.

Oh my gosh! And I also want the Pink Paislee and Kaiser Crafts one. Soo many have wood veneers out. Really going to be fun creating with all these goodies.

My Minds Eye

Not really my fave CHA release from them this year. Although I did manage to find one line that I would like to play with. I think its cuz it reminds of the Basic Grey line from a while back that I still love and have not touch to this day.

Kaiser Crafts has a line called Gabrielle that I like too. Just too tired to keep posting pics since I did it like 3 times over, due to blogspot freaking out on me.

Anyway...I know, I am a horrible person. I just wanted to share the drool fest going on in front of my computer. I hope you are like me, just dying to get these goodies in your hands. My LO below "My SWEET HANDSOME Little Boy" is my take on the challenge. Here is another LO using Echo Park Little Boy collection. I mean how perfect is that huge sticker as my tittle. Come on, that was a given that I will use it as a tittle.

How easy was that? REAL EASY! I love it when I don't have to do much to make a good impact on my page. I just added the SWEET and HANDSOME sticker and big alpha stickers for (MY) that came along the sticker page. Super easy, plus this collection is so awesome that I am addicted to it. I cant seem to stop creating pages and cards. So stay tune cuz I have tons coming up.

Color Combos #175 Challenge

You can see the Color Combos Galore Team and Your Scrapbook Stash Design Teams take on the CCG blog. We are so lucky to be the Guest Designers for this months challenge. The color's are perfect and fun.

When I received my box from YSS and saw that I get to play with Echo Park Little Boy line, I was so excited. It went perfectly with the CCG Palette and for my little boys pictures. Here is what I created below.

You COMFORT me!

I did a small tutorial using Faux Finish background stamps in the background white paper to create dimension on my page. It just added the perfect little something for the page. It's not a lot of work but worth the effort to give your pages that little special touch.

Here's a closer pic of the stamp background. As you can see it's not dark at all but in person you can see the effect it creates better. Supplies: Echo Park Little Boy line paper and journaling spot, Color Box Chalk ink in Chesnut roan, Stampendous Faux Finish quad stamps, Stampin Up orange ink pad and Creative Charms Orange bling.

So I have an ANNOUNCEMENT to make!

I had forgotten about a DT call I had tried out for. It's been a while and I turned in my app as soon as they posted it, hence the forgetting part. You know how it works, sometimes it takes a month even more for them to get the calls out. Anyway, I got an email when we got back from California that I had made the team....which was a SHOCK. I always think I wont make it anyway so why worry or think or stress about it. So it is always a surprise when they say YES!

I made the Design Team for Your Scrapbook Stash Kit Club. Wooo hoooo. Honestly, I was at the point where I was not going to try out for teams anymore. I never make it and there's way too many talented ladies out there. And sometimes it gets so competitive that it is no fun. So I was happy to just quietly scrap on my own. I had turned in a bunch of apps for teams and told my friends that's it. I wont try out anymore. Well what a surprise that one of my last apps for a team and I MAKE IT! Crazy right.

Anyway here is the announcement on the YSS Blog showing all the girls that made it. They announced the team a while back and I am just now getting to posting. Ooops!

Oh! CONGRATS to all the girls that made it. I am sooo excited to get to work with all of you. I finally got my package today...well it's 4:08 am Saturday so I should say yesterday so I will be working on my projects tomorrow. I apologize folks for being such a bad but mostly lazy blogger lately. I think the whole holiday season really got to me. It's hard to get back into swing of things when you get used to just focusing on family and friends. And I wont apologize for wanting to enjoy my time with family but I will apologize for not posting my work. I should have made time for it. And this year I am making it one of my resolution to be better at it. I said I will try, don't hate...I'm human. ;)

So anyway, here are my Dec. assignments for Creative Charms that I didn't get to post here on my blog. It was up on CC blog though, so YAY for me on that one! Ha! I got to play with the Deal of the Month again and it was a lot of fun and it had tons of goodies.

We have exactly 10 days till Christmas and I am getting really excited. Specially since I started buying the presents since October. Geesh, I really cant wait for my kiddos to open their presents. This year I went with quality instead of quantity. I am hoping they wont mind since they are getting what they or I think they would enjoy the most.

Ok you are gonna think I am the BIGGEST DORK out there! But I already know that and most of my good friends love me for it cuz I am crazy like that. So if you dont get me, now is your chance to get the heck out! hahahahaha just kidding stay!

Ok, anyway what was I saying? Oh, yeah I'm a dork. So my hubby is away, so what I do when that happens is end up scrapbooking, vegging out in the couch browsing the net and catching up on some much needed blog hoppin. I bought a bunch of new Lily Bee stuff and thought hhhmm I should go to their blog and get inspired. You see I am hoping to scrap while hubby is away. So as I was browsing....I got to about the 3rd, 4th or 5th page. Not really sure! And what do I see? A freaking LO that I did during the summer. If you want to see what I am talking about go >>>>>> HERE!

Holy CRAP! How come I didn't know I was featured at Lily Bee? WTH people? You are supposed to be looking out for me! Hehehehe well it would have been nice to see it when it was first posted but it doesn't really matter does it? All that matter's is that someone saw my LO and thought it would be nice to put it up their blog to show their reader's. SOOOOO AWESOME! I told you I was dork...remember. So don't hate! Kay.

You see I get excited over little stuff like this cuz it is not often it happens to me. Most of all from manufacturers that I LOVE! Anyway just sitting here at home alone and figured I would share my excitement with you. Hello there!
So this is my first official post for Creative Charms and I am sooooo excited. I was lucky enough to get to play with the Deal of the Month for my first assignment. And boy was it fun!

Sweetie Pie

Supplies: October Afternoon Weathervane, Creative Charms orange & red flowers and red gradient gems.

I created a LO using pics from last years trip to the pumpkin patch. I used everything from October Afternoon Weathervane cuz it is just perfect for Fall theme don't ya think? Plus I am making a rule that I have to use up tons of my old stuff first too. So this is killing two birds with one stone.

Here are some close up pics below.

The flowers are so much fun. And below you can see I used the red gems in the middle of the flower representing the sun to give it a more dimension. I love how it turned out.

I am planning on putting this on a 3d frame and putting in my daughter's room. And plan to change it out too, depending on the season or if I have a fave LO of hers.

I used the butterflies and the orange gradient gems to accent the card. They are perfect for a lil whimsy and not cluttering the card too much. Sweet and simple!

Father and daugther dance 2010

My husband was finally able to take Isabella to a Father and daughter dance this year. Boy was she excited! Here she was with her hair and make up done. I did it of course. I went to You Tube and watched a couple of HOW TO videos on up-dos. I already had a plan but decided to with this. It was really cute on her and she loved getting ready.

Her dress came with a matching mini dress for a doll. But she wanted it on teddy so that's what we did. Here she was just dying to get into her dress.

Of course we had to take a couple of shots of her and her dress outside before going to the dance. With teddy of course!

We really wanted he to feel special so of course, flowers were in order. Just look at her face. She was so surprise. She just loved all the attention daddy was giving her. She was giddy all day and all night!

She was saying "Thank you for my flowers Daddy!" He adores her.

OMG, I was so happy I found a perfectly matching tie that goes with her dress. It came out so perfect. I am SOOOO good like that! hehehe

It was so funny, my hubby asked her where would she like to go for dinner. And her answer was..."McDonalds please!" We just about died. You see we don't take them to McDees cuz they are just not that healthy. But she knew this was her chance and boy did she take it. And of course, Daddy had to do what she ask. It was her day after all.

This was her right after the dance. She wanted to put her flowers in a vase ASAP and she knew exactly where they would go. She said, "I knew that's what my room needed. It needed flowers! Now it's perfect!" Bwahahahahaha

We really wanted this to be a GREAT experience for her and let her know how special she is. One day she will be a woman and she needs to know how she needs to be treated and the kind of care and love she deserves. We want her to grow up to be a strong and a smart girl that knows her worth. Of course you can never fully control or decide for them or how they should live their lives or who to be with. But what we could do is show her and lead her until that day comes that she decides for herself. And hopefully she makes good decisions for her life.

I thank God that I have a wonderful husband that is willing to do what ever it takes to make our daughter and son feel good and feel special. He loves and adores them. They grow up so fast and we take full advantage of these moments because one day this will be but a distant memory. But for now we will enjoy them as much as we can!

I know, I know! But dang it, it's those small unexpected gifts that I love the most. And it might not be a big deal to most but I must admit it made me smile and feel good about my scrappy pages. So there! Hehehehe just thought I'd share. Now I have to sort through my scrappy pages that I made to see if there's other pages or project they would want.

I mean seriously, I have been hoarding so much of their stuff I am surprise I don't have more pages. Oh, yeah! I forgot...I am a freak and have a hard time cutting up paper or using up products that I love. And then I turn around and there are so many new products I must have and what I have is now considered old and not cool (like myself) hehehehe. I am really trying hard to change this and as you can see I have been working hard creating from my old stash.

Oh, scrappy news! I tried out for a handful of Design Team Calls and I am waiting to see the results. It should be within the next couple of weeks. People....WISH ME LUCK! Sooooo fun! It is fun, even though it might be a hard blow to my ego 99% of the time. But I do enjoy it. It's the excitement of "WHAT IF'S?" I think as long as it does not stop you from enjoying scrapping and it does not make you CRAZY, it's ok to try out for teams. Being in teams should be a BONUS not a MUST HAVE or I WILL DIE if I don't make it kinda thing! You know what I mean?

I am now a Design Team Member for Creative Charms. They posted it on their Facebook account here. I actually forgot about the call until I opened up my email this morning. Apparently they sent out the email request last night but I just didn't see it or get it until this morning.

So, yeah! I am shock and happy and excited and giddy! I am just always grateful that someone out there like my work enough and trust me to be a part of their team and to represent their company. I will never ever take those kind of things for granted. It's a privilege and a complement for people or companies to want you to be a part of their team. So awesome, thank you so much CC!

DT call and some cards!

I was ask by my local scrapbook store to make some sample cards for them. So I thought I would share them with ya. I could only show you 2 of them since I used the other one for a DT call. I have not made cards in a while so I am happy with how they turned out.

These are samples using SRM Thanksgiving stickers. I think they came out really cute! Been a while since I've made cards, so very happy. I also played with my cuddlebug and really like the texture. Need to use that machine more!

Anyway, I tried out for a Design Team call and I am crossing my fingers. But at this point I know there are so many amazingly talented people out there that I pretty much accept that not all of us get to be in teams. You just never know until you try. Besides you never know what they are looking for, it might just be you! Wish me luck.

my blog. And I will tell why it has taken so long. Well I have been putting up with random monster pains in my stomach for so long. I mean waking up in the middle of the night, crying kind of pain. After we got home from our first trip to Cali. I got a check up and found out that I had Gallstones. But my doctor didn't see any inflammation so he didn't think it was serious. Then I had to go back and to Cali for another last minute trip. All went well while there but when I got home, a couple of days I think I had a monster attack and had to go to the ER for it. Finally they said I had to get operation to get my gallbladder removed. So to make a long story short I have been out due to my surgery and now getting back to my normal self. It took a while for me not to get sick when looking at my computer. So peeps, I had a very real reasons for not blogging not just cuz I was lazy!

Now let's move on and let me show you what I have been up to. I was really itching to scrap so of course what do I always say when I need to scrap? Do challenges of course. So thank goodness there are tons of challenges around to motivate me and just kick my butt in to gear. Wanna see?

You pick flowers for me!

This one is my fave. Using all old pp stash to create this LO. Can you believe that this is Sass Hog Heaven. I mean how old is this? I think it looks fresh and clean. One of the first LO I created right after my surgery. It was great just to scrap. Pic is Isabella's first day of Kindergarten last year.

Wish

This is my second fave. Finally got the nerve to use my Wassail from Basic Grey for this xmas picture. This pic is really old. But I love the grainy look to it. So keeping with my new tradition of using only old pics and old stash I created this LO. I still want to add journaling to it cuz to me it looks empty. So I will add that later. I stayed up one night creating the sheer tulle ribbon thingy. Instead of creating it in every project I just decided to create the ribbon all at once. I just made a long strip of it already sewn and I just cut it up as I use what I need.

Knott's Berry Farm

Finally got to scrap a page that has lots of pics of our vacation from last year at Knotts. More old stash for this from Little Yellow bicycle travel line. Wow I am doing really good right!

Supplies: Little Yello Bicycle travel pp and stickers, AC red and green thickers and Making Memories blue bling.

ATC Cards

Used My Little Shoebox pp and created my mini shape paper. I just used a small circle punch and punched the edges to create that look. Pretty simple! Then surprise surprise I used scraps to create details. Super simple!

My Kinder Girl

More pics from last years first day of Kinder school here. I use tons of technique to create depth and interest. All old scraps to create this LO. Oh and the best part I used my Cricut which was covered in dust for the first time in many many years. How cool is that? I used my new never used cartridge Storybook. FINALLY!

Beautiful!

I am still unsure on this one. I am thinking I will need to redo it or add to it. I feel like it looks unfinished or just lacking in something. I want to add more lace or fabric of some sort of doodads...something. These papers are from K&Co Que Sera Sera. Yeah that old! But I love these papers and really wanted to use it. I have been using it here and there when ever I can but on this one it was the main paper. I added my ready made sewn tulle ribbon. I want to put it on everything right now. The pink flower I made myself using the technique from Rhonna Farrer and Heidi's show I think for mother's day. They use fabric and fire from candle to create the look of a flower. I was addicted to making them and I have tons of them. I really need to start using all these lil things that I create and then not touch. I create tons of handmade doodads but then afraid to use it. Silly really!

Well there you go!

I think I have been good using old stash and scrapping at that. I really need to get stuff done but besides catching up on house chores I am organizing and purging as well. I am currently going through old magazines so I can get rid of them or donate. I also have tons of stash at a scrapbook store sale going on this weekend. Trying to get rid of stuff not worth holding on to and making a dent in house mess. I really want to get the house clean and finally let go of stuff. JUST LET IT GO!

Well, what are you up to? I hope I can encourage you to use up all that old stash and quit buying new stuff. You can create beautiful pages with your old stash as much as new stuff. This has been my mantra for a year now and I am really proud of myself. Slowly making a dent and feeling good about it. Now don't go rolling your eyes at me, I know it's always fun to have new stuff. I'm just saying use some old stuff first to create more room for new stuff late. Yeah? Ok, got's to go people hope you like this post. Sorry for the long post and tons of pics. We are waiting for the TOOTH FAIRY!

Isabella is BEYOND excited that she had a loose tooth. She couldn't wait to pull that sucker off. Until of course when it was really time to do it. All she could talk about was her tooth being loose. So the other day (Aug. 28, 2010) we finally came to a decision it was time to pull the tooth out. At first she was game, then she realize PAIN might be involved.

So daddy, being the funny and crazy man that he is, asked if she wanted to do it the way he did it for our son Isaac. Which was tying a thread to the tooth...attached to the door and shutting the door and pulling the tooth out. Surprisingly she agreed! But as soon as daddy started tying the thread to the tooth she started to cry and get nervous. We tried a handful of times to get it tied up but she kept using her tongue to push the thread out. So, that plan was scrapped. We decided on the old method which was just pulling the tooth out by hand.

That sucker was holding on for dear life, even though looking at it it looked like it was about to fall off. We gave it a couple of try and finally after going back and forth daddy successfully pulled it out. Isabella did not even cry, she didn't even realize it was already out until daddy showed her the tooth. She went nuts! She had to make it a point to tell everyone in the house how brave she was and that she didn't cry and that she did way better than Isaac did when we pulled his tooth out. That girl was showing off and we finally had to tell her that being humble is also a good trait. We had to tell her be careful, Tooth Fairy might not like show offs! LOL!

She was so excited for the tooth fairy to come get her tooth and get money that she did not wait for me to put the tooth under her blanket. She did it on her own without telling me. Now, I put the tooth inside a tiny Ziploc baggy to keep it safe but she decided that it was better to take it out. This tooth was tiny. So when the Tooth Fairy came to check under the pillow and leave little Isabella money.....the Tooth Fairy could not find it. That Fairy was very worried and was looking all over the place. The problem was Isabella was holding on for dear life on the pillow. She had put her whole arm under the pillow, I think trying to catch the Tooth Fairy on the act! Silly silly little girl! After much searching, the tooth fairy had to give up. And will have to come back at a later time to collect Isabella's first tooth. Poor Isabella, she was so disappointed when she woke up and realize there was NO MONEY and worst the tooth was missing. I had to calm her down and tell her that the Tooth Fairy must have not come and we had to figure out why. I then told her the tooth must have been knocked off of the bed and we had to look for it.

Daddy, Isaac and Isabella looked and looked for it but no luck. Finally Mommy had to step in, with patience and determination I found that LITTLE SUCKER and rescued the day. We have yet to put the tooth under the pillow. Mommy had a 7:30 am app today and could not properly capture the moment without rushing the kids so I politely asked Isabella if we could do it tonight. Thank goodness she is a sweetie and agreed. So Tooth Fairy make sure you come over tonight and don't forget to leave chabella a lil somethin somethin for her extra patience. ;)

13th Year Anniversary!

Every year I cant help but be grateful for the wonderful & not so wonderful, sometimes stressful, mostly great, boring also fun, lonely sometimes overwhelming, loving & fighting and crazy time I have spent with my hubby. (No marriage is perfect and anyone that says theirs is...they are liars.) I can say that I could not picture or imagine myself with anyone else. So here are my 13 reasons why I love this man but sometimes want to kill him too.

1.No matter how much my hubby annoys or irritate or sometimes even the pain in my ASS.....I would not trade him for anyone else. Because he is also the first one to kiss it!

2. I love him for all that he is and all that he is not. I love him AS IS like the SALE items! Like I always say (Just as you are!)

4. I love him cuz he is a GREAT father and for giving me 2 wonderful kids.

5. He is also a GREAT husband.

6. He provides for us not just financially but physically and emotionally.

7. He sings to me and dedicates love songs for me! ;)

8. Never hesitates to hug, kiss, dance with me and love on me. NO matter who is around. Love that!

9.Makes my coffee on the weekends and lets me sleep in.

10. Puts up with my craziness and always tries to do it with a smile. hehehehe

11. He always says I LOVE YOU before going to bed and never leaves the house for work without giving me a kiss.

12. Gives me puppy eyes and puffy lips technique when he is in trouble or thinks he's in trouble. And no matter how much trouble he gets I cant stay mad long enough and always forgive him. He is the pain in my ass.

13. I can go on, but since I am only doing 13 reason here's my last one. I love that he LOVES me. He is my other half. He is everything I am not and without him I am incomplete. Every time he is away I feel sad and lonely. So for all the good times and the bad I wouldn't want anyone else there by my side but him. He makes me mad but the one that makes me the most happy and put a smile on my face. He is still the one that makes my heart skip a bit. And he is still the only one I see myself getting old with.

So baby besides the joking around, I am looking forward to many many more years together. My LOVE, Mi Amor, Mi Vida y Mi Rey....Happy 13th Year Wedding Anniversary. Thank you for everything. I love you with all my heart and soul. I miss ya! Can't wait for you come home soon!

My Minds Eye Sketch Challenge #14

Could not help myself, so I had to do another sketch challenge. Lucky for me My Minds Eye is having one of their challenges. I really like how the papers match these pics of my son riding his bike for the first time without training wheels. Yes! It took him a while to get the courage to ride a big bike but as soon as he got a hang of it, it was cake. He is a very careful boy, he does not like getting hurt! I don't blame him, he gets it from his mama! Pics were from summer of last year. They go so perfectly with the papers don't they?

I am so glad I am making a dent with my old pics. Slowly but surely baby! I am also happy to be scrappin again and using old stash. Well not really old, but I have made it a point not to buy anything new until I use up most of my stash lying around. Small victories my friends...small victories. ; p

So honestly I have not touched any of my scrappbooking stuff for months. And worst, I should say a good thing is that I have not bought anything new in almost a year. So what's the best way to get my mojo going you might ask???? Doing CHALLENGES of course! I really think it gets me moving and scrapping. Nothing like a deadline to get my blood going. I LOVE challenges!

After getting back from my trip to Cali I decided to have a scrappy weekend. In fact it is still happening right now as we speak. Had to go online and see whats going and I happened to pass by Your Scrapbook Stash Kit Club and Store and saw that they are having a Sketch Challenge and decided to participate in all the fun. But I only have today to get this LO done and posted so I needed to stop scrapping and make a quick post. Here is my take on the challenge, I used the sketch from March 18th *(see below)*. I changed it up a bit to make it work for my pics but mostly stayed with the sketch as much as I could. Sorry for the bad pic, getting used to playing with my camera again and really need to get in gear as far picture taking and editing.

I am back HOME!

Sorry for my sudden disappearance. I had to take the kids out of their last week of school and rush home to Cali. My birth mom was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer last year a couple of days before Thanksgiving. We knew it was bad since Pancreatic Cancer is terminal we just hoped that the chemo would give her a lil bit more of a fight. I have been communicating with her about this over the phone and she made me believe it was not as bad as it was. Not bad meaning she still looked and felt normal but going through chemo. But a week before school ended for the kids I got a phone call, that the chemo has pretty much not done anything. And that the cancer has now spread to her lungs. She was told during her chemo that it was working but I guess the cancer made a stronger comeback. She had to go to the ER a couple of times and that's when they told her they could no longer do anything for her besides making sure she is comfortable. She is now Hospice and have a nurse come to her house to check up on her. She is losing control of her body functions and all the medicine are causing her all kinds of difficulties. She never felt the need to tell me becuz she did not want to worry me but during the phone call I knew it was BAD. So Jorge and I hurried to make plans and got him an emergency leave as soon as we could.

So we were lucky enough to have gotten the leave for Jorge and made the drive to Cali with the kids. The kids were excited to go home since we were already planning on going home for the summer not just to visit my BM but also to see family that we don't see but once a year if we are lucky. Anyway, I guess I am ignorant or just didn't grasp the situation cuz I didn't realize how bad it has been for her physically. I was upset cuz I was led to believe everything was fine...she was doing good..well as good as anyone going through a terminal cancer. HOW STUPID WAS I? I was totally out of the loop and could not describe how I felt seeing her for the first time again. OMG! How could this be? It was such a shock to see her in her state. She was not the same woman I saw a year ago. She was vibrant, full of energy, feisty and a strong strong woman. Now she is a 100 something pounds, frail and really tired. This is not her! Rich told me that it has really only been 3 months until they started seeing the full effect and devastation of the cancer to her physical appearance. It is a fast and horrible disease. When she was first diagnosed the doctors gave her 6 months to 2 years. She is 7 months into that time calculations but just recently have shown the physical effects of it. It is craziness!

She has good days and bad days. The times we were there she was great and in good spirit. I know how tired she must have been but she was putting a good front. She didn't want to sleep or rest when we were there cuz she wanted to spend as much time as she could with us. But it was just not possible all the time. Jorge, myself and the kids went back and forth to Long Beach and Riverside the whole time we were there. We literally had to make an effort and make sure we took the kids out as much as we could and do something fun for them. Not just becuz it is their summer vacation but cuz we knew this situation will have an affect on them. The kids were great and very patient being around my BM as sick as she was. They didn't ask questions or made comments. I think as soon as they saw her they knew how bad the situation was and just knew that grandma was really sick. They both just seem like everything was normal and gave grandma as much loving as they could.

I really don't know how to describe how I am feeling. But I know that it is much harder for Rich and my stepbrother since they are the ones that are always there. They cant escape from what is happening. It is constant and in your face. I feel guilty for not being there, for having the luxury of being able to go home. I am also not as close to her as I could be I guess. I have only began talking to her and getting to know her about 6 or 7 years. And in those years I lived far away. I see her and visit her when we get a chance and most of our conversations are through the phone. So in reality we just bare scratch the surface and we are just getting to know each other. HOW SAD IS THAT? I love her and so so grateful for her. For everything that she has had to give up and do for my sake. I have never blamed her or be mad at her for giving me up. I understand and with all my heart thankful she did the right thing FOR ME. I could never begin to imagine what a hard choice it was for her but she did it for me. To give me a better life and opportunity than what she was able to do at the time. I am GRATEFUL!

I just wish we have more time. I just wish we get to know each other more and grow closer as a mother and a daughter. Instead of having to cram what little time we have getting to know each other. Walking out the door while she sat in the living room I felt sad, guilty and worried. Worried it will be the last time I will see her. Sad cuz anything could happen from here on out and I wont be there next to her. Guilty cuz I cant stay longer to take care of her. I hope I have done a good enough job letting her know how much I care and love her. I hope that I have done enough to comfort her and make her feel loved. I don't know, it is all an emotional roller coaster. I just want her to know and feel I was there for her. I wanted her to feel my love, I hope she felt it.

I know this is all emotional and a bit personal. I don't even know if I am making any kind of sense or explaining myself right. I don't normally share too much here on my blog but this time I did want to share. I needed to let it out. So thank you for putting up with this post and me. Thanks for letting me share something so personal to me. If I could say one last thing, is that PLEASE PLEASE tell the people that you love...YOU LOVE THEM. This crazy thing we call LIFE is short and can be taken away at any moment. Do not waste a moment of it. Live it to the fullest and let those around you know how much you care and love them. Because sometimes you just never know what is around the corner. LOVE YA'LL!

My Babies Birthday Today!

10 years ago today an angel named Isaac Jorge Magana came into our lives. Our SURPRISE baby! Today he is a celebrating his 10th birthday. How blessed are we to have you my son! We love you sooooo much.

Exactly six years later to the day, we were again blessed with another angel Isabella Rose Magana. She is our girly girl and today she is 6 years old ! Isaac begged and begged for a sister so we had to give in. :) She is definitely the cherry on top and the one that completes our family. Isaac, Daddy and I love you sooooo much my princesa!

In a JAM? card

The very first time I saw this line I knew I was gonna make this card. I had pictured it in my head and just could not wait to make it. Being that I am from California I know too well what a traffic jam is and so I wanted it to look a freeway traffic jam. What ya think? Well I think it turned out great. I really like that the cars look like they are trying to weeve in and out and just driving with a purpose. Hehehehehe just no ROAD RAGE! I borrowed a couple of clouds from another line to complete the look.

Summer '09 Knott's Berry Farm Vacation Pic Mini Album

I am so so proud of how this mini turned out. I used tons of Tattered Angels Mist and mask and hand cutting and layering. There's tons of pics so be ready. I have not had the chance to scrap our vacation pics from last summer and when I saw this Away We Go line I knew it was perfect.

I wanted the front page to be very simple but you knew right away what it was gonna be about. Layered the sign Route 66 and journaling spot for my tittle of the mini book and nothing else. The mask of the tree and the road cut out strip just completed..nothing else needed. ;)

The inside pages are a different story though! I wanted it to be full of details and cut outs and just fun. Usually when people make mini album they keep the pics black and white to match them perfectly with their papers. But this line was so perfect that I opted to keep my picture as is. I love that it was colorful and I tend to not change my pictures anyway. I love seeing all the details and remember all the colors. Besides two pics that I turned to sepia that is all that was change as far as my pics go.

I know I am weird like that, but I know a lot of people that have tons of pictures already printed in color from way before we had our fancy smancy cameras and editing soft wares. So PLEASE do not be afraid to use them, I do....so can you! With the economy being what it is, not all of us have the funds to constantly print amazing pictures in different shades of colors. Use what you have, you will be grateful you get to scrap old pics that are needing some of your time and luvin. I made the commitment of doing that and so happy to get a dent in my hoard of old pics.

OMGosh I am so happy when I thought about this last line for my mini. It says OUT OF GAS! Hehehehe parents...you know exactly what I am talkin about if you have taken your kids to an amusement part. This line was so PERFECT! TFL ya'll!

PS. I have another page that goes with this line but cannot share yet, cuz the MLS DT had another chance to work with Pencil Line and one of their amazing sketches. So I will post my take on the sketch when they post it on their blog. So keep a look out on their blog cuz another one of page will be featured there and another LO I have yet to share will also be featured at Scrapstreet online magazine in July for AAM DT! They are going to do a feature about our Challenge blog and DT's work. Wooo hooo I am excited about both of these opportunity! Ok anyway I should stop. Just wanted to share, dont get to do a toot too often! :)

Forever Always Lifelong BUDDIES!

Everything in this LO is using My Little Shoebox Just Add Butter Line. I thought I was going to have a hard time with this line due to all the colors...but as always I end up having sooo much fun. I mean C'mon I did a 2 page LO! You don't even know how proud I am of myself. I have so many pics of Chabella in the park with her stuff animal toy and really trying to scrap them all. I know you guys will be sick of them but I don't care cuz I love them. hehehehe

I cut out different layers of the paper and cut them with my scalloped scissors and layered them back up. It came out sooo cute and will use this method more. There are also tons of butterfly punch and I LOVE it! To make the house images more interesting I pop dotted them to give them some life. It was really easy.

I LOVE how this page turned out. It is so colorful and just bright. I was never able to create pages that so colorful before but becuz of MLS I have really learned to embrace it. Isn't it just FUN! The papers totally match the pic of Chabella's 3rd birthday party pics. PERFECTLY! I used some tattered angels mist and calling card in the bottom (Savor the Journey) to add a little something and of course heart bling (Making Memories) on top of each cupcake layered and pop dotted them. And there you have it!

I really enjoyed playing with Tattered Angels mist and some doilies for this one. I just wanted to create some layers with my Martha Steward border punch and spritzing the whole page with Graphite mist. A few Martha Steward butterfly punches here and there and added my journaling inside the doily images and that's it. Simple but with lots of texture and dimension.

Again sorry for the pics being so dark. It's really hard getting good pics here in Washington due to the weather we have been having. It has rain nonstop and feels more like winter rather than Spring on the way to Summer. I mean it really sucks! OK, anyway thanks for checking out my blog and hope you all are having a better weather than we are and have a great weekend.

AAM Why I'm WORTH Knowing Challenge

I am so not good at saying something good about myself cuz sometimes it feels like I'm bragging or I'm such a big headed person. But that's why I love being a part of the AAM team. Because it pushes me to do things that I wont normally do for myself. I think it will be so much fun for my kids to read these LO's when they are grown and will understand and would want to get to know me in a different view besides being their MOMMY!

I knew I didn't want to add a picture just journaling. So I focus on the words and my embellishments. I love how it turned out and proud to add another page in my album that is just about me.

AAM My Impossible Future Challenge

This is one of a few picture of myself as a baby. My hubby kinda gave me a hard time about using it on a LO but I told him I did not glue it all the way so I can always make a scan copy when needed. Anyway...this challenge is about what you thought your future would be. But you are always welcome to take the tittle anyway you see fit for you. I really wanted to do this cuz as I look back, I can appreciate how my life has turned out and how I could have never dreamed for something better than how it had played out.

My journaling is inside the Maya Road envelope which I LOVE! I wont share my journaling but I will give you a bit of what its about. Basically it's describing my story as an adopted baby from a young unmarried girl, surviving a not so pleasant divorce of my adopted parents and a hard childhood in the Philippines to where I am now! Too much drama and too personal for me to share. I want my kids to look back and be able to read this story and realize that LIFE is not all about fairy tales, rainbows and unicorn. That there are many sides to me that made me who I am today. I am so grateful for what I have today because what I had before. I never take anything for granted. Ya! So that's that!

Ok, so I am a little late posting this but I still wanted to share! Look HERE <====. Yay! You see my LO is the 3rd one featured in their blog. Weeee peeee! It was really nice to be able to participate. So many talented ladies! Thank you so much Kristine for asking me to join in your festivities. Great Sketch to work with too!

So here it is. I used everything from My Little Shoebox Imaginary Friends line to create a LO base on all the crazy pics I have of my daughter when she was a baby! LOVE it!

I'M A CHEATER!

There I said it! Here's a little tutorial to share with ya! And why I do it!

Did you see my original LO? I matted the white card stock with the pink polka dot PP (see pic above). Well I really don't like wasting paper no matter how much I have of it. And believe me MLS is generous with products. But I am also a recycler so I would never just take advantage ya know what I mean! So, here I am I will admit that I Michelle Magana CHEAT a LOT. A LOT A LOT! I try to always think of ways to stretch my papers or products.

So below you will see what I mean. I am sure there are people out there that will say...." Oh I do that too!" Great then you are already on the right path. But this one's for those that think they have to use their whole 12x12 PP to create that frame look that everyone likes.

You see! What I do is cut a big square in the middle of the LO where no one will ever know I have cut out a portion of it. About 1 to 2 inches away from all sides. You can see that the MLS PP are double sided so you can enjoy both sides. You can do this to all your fave PP that you don't have too many of, so that way you can stretch your dollars. The white card stock is strong enough to support your LO. It will not show up either since the CS is thick.

Now you have a perfectly good Pattern Paper to use for another LO as is or to cut apart using all those little cute monsters as details for your cards or LO. Hope you like this and give it a try once in a while. No point wasting a perfectly good 12x12 all at once. Now a days we can all afford to be creative and frugal at the same time!

Participated in a Virtual Crop at the Nook this weekend and got to finish a bunch of projects. I always crops, cuz I get to do many pages. I tend to have ups and downs in my scrapping. And since I have not been productive at all I made it up this weekend. Now I am ready for more. I think I will continue scrapping and finish up some much needed work that are due at the end of the month.

Ok, so I wanted to post something but then remembered I am not suppose to do it yet. DUH! So I am doing a sneak peek instead. I was asked to be one of the many GDT for Creative Scrappers Sketch Challenge Blog. They will be having a fun festivity in their blog soon so you will need to check them out. I got to play with one of the many beautiful sketches they make there and I had so much fun.

I never used to know what to do with sketches. Seriously they were like alien writings to me. I just didn't get it. Now.....I love sketches cuz it makes my life so much easier. All I have to do is place everything where the sketch says to do. All the planning and rearranging has been done for me. I can finish a LO in a matter of minutes or hours depending on how difficult I am being. Ha! So anyway here's my sneak. Cant wait to post the rest of the LO soon. Self Improvement (Your Biggest Flaw)

I know this was hard for me too! I had to really sit and think and figure out how I was gonna approach this without being so OUT THERE! I mean, its not easy to admit your flaws....to top it off you have to share it to the world. But that is exactly the reason why I wanted to joined this Design Team. I wanted to be challenged and do pages that are about me and that I wont normally do on my own! Ya know! I dug dip and dove head first. Confronting my BIGGEST FLAW of them all. The mother load....the gorilla in the room! It was hard to pick from all my flaws but this one stood out from the rest! Here is my take on the challenge.

OMG! I know you know who that is below right? YUP YUP! That is the super YUMMY..Mario Lopez IRL people! He was here in Fort Lewis PX promoting his book Mud Tacos and his energy drink Celsius. My friend Mariely found out about this book signing and am I so glad she told me about it. We stayed in line for like 3 hours maybe 4 but who cares. It was so worth it. Here he was signing his picture! Gosh he is sooo GORGEOUS!

We didn't know where he was gonna be coming in but what a great surprise when we heard the screams from the front entrance. He ended up passing right by us. Look how close he was, I could have seriously tackled him to the ground if I wanted to! Heheheh look at those dang dimples ladies!

Here I am getting a tiny hug while taking our pics together. He was very sweet and patient. Man I thought I was a pretty brave and bold girl. But when it was my turn to get my book and picture signed I turned to a 12 year old little girl.

I got all shy and could not look at him in the eye. He was totally making eye contact I just couldn't do it. All I could say to him was "Hi Mario! How are you?" While looking at the table handing him my book. DUH! Ugh I felt so stupid. He was kind and said "I'm fine, how are you?" By the time I got next to him to take a picture I was shaking. He had to get close to me to take the picture and he could tell I was nervous and shaking and look at me kinda funny. He felt me shaking and after the pic he said..."Thanks mama!" Aaaaaaw, melt my heart!

I'm fine being shy, at least I didn't beg and act like a hoochie mama like the other girls. One girl asked to sit on his lap which I thought was way too much and another girl was screaming and calling his name and I think kissed him in the neck....(which I think cuz him to have a reaction cuz he took a break right after her and when he came back he was complaining about his neck and if you look closely on the first picture you can see his neck has a rash, ack!) He was way skinnier in person and way more quiet than what you see on T.V. All in all it was a great experience. To top it off, I just found out he is coming back in August. Woooo hoooo! You know who will be back to get a pic right???? yup yup!

My baby girl is a Girl Scouts! Aaaw, look at her wearing her Daisy Apron. I am so proud cuz I busted out my sewing machine to put on her patches which are on the back. The front side is all iron on so it was all good! This was the night of World Thinking Day for Girl Scouts here in our area. It was the first time she got to wear her apron. I am oh so proud of her. She has already memorized her Girl Scouts promise and has met her cookie sale goal. Two weeks from today they will do their oath ceremony and officially a Girl Scouts.

Lastly, I will leave you with a LO I created for AAM Challenge Blog. The theme this week is "My Personality" I didn't want to do a LO with what I thought I my take on my personality, instead I asked a couple of my friend to tell me what they think my personality is. And this is what I got: No holds bar, tell it like it is, crazy, funny, caring, loyal, giving and loving person.

I used my Feb. Nook Kit to create this LO. It's simple but I love how it turned out. You will have to excuse the poor quality of the pics. My new computer is a pain and wont let me download my photo editing software so I am having to use what came with it, which SUCKS! Sorry! Hopefully I can get a new one that works but for now my sucky pictures will do! Pictures for DADDY!

Since daddy is away for a military training, the only communication is through phone, text, email, blog or Facebook. And since Chabella has been on a fashion craze, daddy wanted to see what all the buzz was about!

Wednesday was a pretty boring day so I decided to take the kids to walk around for a bit, thinking I will pass by Marshalls to see if I could get this dress form that I was eyeing, but walk away from thinking it will be there later. Well that was not the case since all the clearance items have all been taken away. Which made me really sad. So as we were walking out we happened to pass the kids area which is a bad bad place. They have too many cute things. So a last minute walk through at Marshalls became a shopping craze for the kids. Well for Isabella anyway!

So daddy here is the first outfit that your daughter picked out this morning to wear to school! Isabella had gotten up earlier than me, which is nothing new. She usually sits in the living room/dining/kitchen area to watch her cartoon and eat gogurt! But when I got up, she was already dress. I mean with shoes and jacket ready to go. LOL! She was soo excited to go to school to show off her new outfit. It is not fancy or brand name, but my daughter loves skirts. She is a girly girl! And she is Hannah Montana, Barbie Princess and SUPER MODEL in her own little world and we let her! If you could just see the poses she was doing last night as we got home from shopping. Well cuz you know we had to try on all the clothes again with all the new shoes right?

My Little Shoebox Jan. DT Assignments

For the month of Jan. we got to play with what ever previously release line we wanted. It was a FREE FOR ALL challenge for the team. This was such an awesome challenge, cuz I got to use all my scraps to create my layered flowers. You know how sometimes you cut your 12x12 paper and you end up with strips of paper. Well that's exactly what I used for my flowers and they turned out so good. And even though all the PP are from different lines they all go together so well. I used the cuddlebug to make the flowers and a layer flower sizzix die cut.

I am so excited you guys! I got an email late last night that I was not expecting at all! It was from either Melissa or Miranda (not really sure)...from It's All About Me Challenge Blog asking if I would accept a DT position. WHAT,WHAT??? I applied for the DT call but I did not expect to get picked at all. So you can imagine the surprise look on my face when I read that email. I was totally doing the happy happy joy joy song and HERCULES HERCULES clapping hands thing. If you don't know what I am talking about, then I am a bigger GEEK than I thought! Ha!

I of course wanted to share the news but I for one follow the rules. Like I have already said, I am way late on posting a lot of work due to my computer crashing and all. We were finally able to buy a new computer but my editing software is still not added to it since hubby is in a military training of some sort in Georgia. So please excuse the bad pictures.

I really wanted to post my December Daily while I was doing it but, that was not possible with a crash computer. So even though it is late I still wanted to post it here. I am sure I am not the only one in the scrappy world that not done with their Dec. Daily....am I right? Even though the whole album is done (without pics yet I am doing that this week) here are some of the pages I wanted to share with ya guys. Hope you guys enjoy it.

P. S. It is rare to have sunny days here in Washington so there are times it takes me a while to take pics of my projects cuz they just do not look good at all. These pics are a sample of that. Hopefully once I figure out the editing software thing I might replace the pics with better ones. So for now...bare with me kay! HOpe you guys enjoy seeing my Dec. Daily and will post my finished one when....well I get it done!

(Products)

I used mainly my Scrapbook Nook Kit which had all Making Memories Mistletoe collections. I did add some envelopes from my stash and more Making Memories shape paper and some Teresa Collins.

My Little Shoebox Dec. Assignments

I created those flowers using the scallop shape paper. All you have to do is cut out the main circle area leaving the scallop ends. Fold and tuck to create a circle flower. Its as simple as that! Giant white buttons for center and Martha Stewart strings to finish it up! Luv that purple butterfly that I got from downtown LA. I swear I never get tired of them!

Well I had to create a 2010 resolution page. I love how it turned out, kinda cutesy but that's how I wanted it. Nothing too serious ya know! I plan on making other pages with the same resolutions so I can put them everywhere so I can see them and keep up with them! HOPEFULLY!

Part of my Resolution for 2009 and now up to 2010 is to scrap old pics that I have already. Although they are not perfect I should scrap them since I paid the money to get them developed. These were the days before digital camera and editing was available to me. So I make do! I am happy every time I finish a page that has old pics. This in particular is a pic of my son when he was only 2 years old!

A simple card but I am happy with it!

I know I am way late but my computer decided to crash on me and I could not download anything for a while. I finally got brave enough to figure this new computer out. So since I have not been able to post anything I figured my first post should be something I have done scrapping wise.

I got to play with Whoo Loves you line and I must say I had fun making these LO. They are fun, cheery and bright. Perfect for kid pics ya know. I am really looking forward to seeing the new lines in person and getting to play with them. Too bad the products were delayed from China so hopefully I will be able to share some work once I get them.

P.S. who ever is going to CHA make sure to check My Little Shoebox and take tons of pics for me!

I know this is my second post for today but I really wanted to do this before I get sidetrack and totally forget about it. So without further a do here are my pics:

Last LO is picked not just cuz I love its simplicity, but it is my ONLY two page LO for 2009 so I am very proud of creating it. : ) Wow! I cant believe how much I love my pages. There were others that I would chosen but since it is only top 10, these were it. Sorry other pages! I have grown so much this year as a scrapper and looking forward to creating more, learning more and growing as an artist in my own right. TFL! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did creating them.

Wow! Can you believe it is 2010? It seemed like 2009 has come and gone way too fast, but I am not complaining becuz I am looking forward to what 2010 has in store for me. So with the new year comes CHA. Who else is excited to see all the new products coming out? ME...ME...ME! I know you saw my post about the New My Little Shoebox down below. But I am looking forward to play with new goodies from other manus I love as well...even though I should really use the products I still have in their original packages yet to be used up. So what products am I excited about you might ask? Well this post is all about that so here we go. : )

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Glimmer Glaze

You can see their post about the new product on their blog. But how exciting is that? I must admit I love playing with glimmer mist but due to shortage of stores and products available in my area I only have like 3 colors and now they are coming out with new products. Waaa I totally need to catch up. :( Looking forward to see how this works. KUDOS to tattered angels for collaborating with Heidi Swapp. She is one of my fave scrapper and enjoyed the video she did about glimmer mist. Perfect combo in my opinion.

Who can ever say NO to some Prima goodness to begin with. Not me! OMG! The new flowers are to die for. MUST HAVE THEM ALL! I am so gonna get in trouble if I ever see these in person. YIKES! Yea not much of a review when all I do is oooh and aah but that's how good they are. You have to see them ok! You can see their new paperline on the blog and flowers on their blog header here. A Proper Gentleman, Le' Romantique and On the Boardwalk.

Ok, I am in love with On the Boardwalk and A Proper Gentlemen. I have to see Le'Romantique in person to really tell how much I love it. But then again I always say that and I end up falling in love as I see it in person. Check out some samples they created on their blog to show you how you can use it. I know Graphic 45 can be intimidating but I always get them anyway. I do need to use up my old ones and quit buying everything they make. LOl! Yeah I know, I say it all the time. I need to quit saying and actually touch my new stuff. hehehehe
